Community Action for Development (CAD) was founded and registered in 2002 as non profit making, non-political, non-religious, non ethnical community based organization that has no discrimination of any kind.
The foundation of CAD was based on the community needs and outcry that were largely resulting from epidemics like HIV/AIDS, violation or denial of fundamental human rights and Poverty that had stricken many families both in rural and urban communities. Factors like environmental degradation, climate change and youth unemployment    had also emerged and significantly contributed to young people’s vulnerability.
